Katie comes from a family of writers. Her grandfather was a reporter for the Chicago Tribune before becoming the editor of the Kenosha News. Her parents and brother all earned Journalism degrees and her sister has a degree in English Literature.

Katie earned her BA in Professional Writing from Mount Mary College and has never considered any other career. She has extensive experience writing for the medical industry as both a technical writer and marketing writer, and has written for many other trades, including the printing and financial industries. Additionally, she has written for such diverse clients as non-profits, quilting designers and online fabric businesses.
Many of The Write Approach clients use Constant Contact for their newsletters and communications, and Katie enjoys creating templates for her clients that reflect the colors, philosophy and products unique to each business.
Katie has over twenty years experience with computers and writing programs such as Interleaf, RoboHelp, Flare, Constant Contact, blogging software and various Microsoft products.

Katie blends her business experience with a keen eye for creative skills and usability trends to deliver excellent and timely end results for her clients. She is adept at not only technical publications, but newsletters, business letters, brochure/marketing materials, copywriting, meeting minutes and press releases.
